Custom-made concrete façades

In early February 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Examination Halls at Klokhøjen in Lisbjerg. DS Flexhal is the turnkey constructor for the 11 examination halls, constructed for FEAS Erhverv P/S. The project has been developed in close collaboration with P+P architects and the client. The office building consists of 11 halls with a total area of 7,073 square meters. Each hall is 400 square meters with room enough for 100 examination seats, as well as a smaller number of examination rooms for students with individual needs and an associated flexible hall. Additionally, there will be welfare facilities for service functions, staff offices, toilets, storage, and cleaning rooms.

Custom-made façade elements

A prominent design element in the project is the façades, which are custom-made and cast by our sister company, DS Elcobyg A/S, in smooth gray concrete, with varying depths in the element and inward-curving arches in the corners. The facades are also constructed with future-proof flexibility, allowing for the addition of more windows if the need for alternative building layouts arises.

FEAS, P+P architects, Aarhus Kommune, DS Elcobyg, and DS Flexhal have all been involved in the entire design process, and the architecturally stunning façade elements have been developed collaboratively.

The construction is expected to be completed in February 2025.
